If you represent a business in the province whose primary focus is providing goods or services to the tourists of BC, you are eligible to become a Business Member of COTA.

Business members are voting members. As such, your representative will become a member of the COTA Council which meets no less than three times a year to discuss important tourism issues. At these meetings and others, COTA brings you together with the key decision makers from government and the business community.

Benefits of Becoming a Business Member include

  • Eligibility for 1 of 2 positions on the COTA Board, excluding the position of President
  • Membership on the COTA Council, the voting authority of COTA
  • Complimentary community sponsorship at BC Tourism Industry Conference (value $500)
  • An invitation to Tourism Day at the Provincial Legislature
  • Minimum $100 discount on registration at BC Tourism Industry Conference, held in late winter, for staff and Board members
  • Involvement in policy circles and surveys which advise COTA on policy issues on an on-going basis
  • A special members' rate at COTA events
  • First line of distribution of COTA publications
  • Receipt of Tourism News and the Member Update
  • Access to the "members only" section of the COTA website.
  • Logo & description on cotabc.com with website link
  • Special rates for banner advertising on www.cotabc.com
  • Listing of your organization on the COTA website as a member of the BC tourism industry
  • Special rates on COTA services
  • Access to networking opportunities with other COTA members

Business Membership Investment: Calculated based on number of Full Time Equivalent (FTE) employees. Business membership cycle is July 1 to June 30; after September 1 membership investments will be pro-rated.
