Stephen Regan,
President and CEO

Stephen Regan joined COTA in October 2007, bringing more than a decade of association management experience to the organization. Stephen was recently the Manager of Destination Development with Tourism Vancouver, where he played a key role in building a province-wide coalition that prompted the B.C. Safe Streets legislation, and assisted in the securing of TransLink’s support for the Canada Line. In addition, he has been the catalyst for advancing the idea of a province-wide accessible tourism initiative, and was instrumental in the establishment of both a Lower Mainland Tourism Roundtable and a Provincial Destination Marketing Organization Roundtable.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University and a post-baccalaureate in environmental science. He is also a Planning Commissioner with the City of Vancouver.

Peter Larose,
Director of Policy and Planning

Peter joined COTA in January 2006 and brings to the organization extensive experience in public policy analysis, project management and public relations, in such diverse areas as international trade and security, energy, technology, natural resources and tourism. With a background in federal, provincial and local government as well as the private sector, he brings a balanced and consensus-driven approach to issues affecting the BC tourism industry. Peter holds a Masters degree in Comparative Politics from the University of British Columbia.

Martina Sun,
Office Manager

Martina joined COTA in December 2007 and has several years’ experience in print production, publishing and tourism marketing. Martina has worked extensively in a non-profit environment, and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University.
